About Us

COOCHEE CREEK FARMS
Coochee Creek Farms’ adventurous journey started in 2015 when James inherited a portion of an original family farm from his father. Soon after that, the renovation work began on the site. The renovated house and portion were built in 1953 by James’ grandparents, Cecil and Daisey Gaskins. After their death, the house was passed to James’ Father, James Sr. (Jimmy). James was raised and spent his entire childhood on the farm where he had worked and learned basic farming techniques and everything he knows today about livestock farming from his father and uncle, Benny Gaskin, who was the local veterinarian.
Our farming family dates back over 200 consecutive years. The year 2022 marked the first time any sheep and other livestock had been raised on the farm after James’ great grandfather, Dr. James A Gaskins, who nurtured sheep in the early 1900s at his adjacent farm.

Vision:
To offer an honest and quality service through the production, raising, and selling of livestock. We renovate and bring the Coochee Creek Farms to the benchmarked industrial standards and provide the most stress-free environment for the livestock to grow and feed.

Mission
At Coochee Creek farms, we provide the best sustainably raised livestock and products to our clients. Our standard care protocols for grass-fed Nigerian Dwarf, Nubian Nigeran Cross Goats, and Jerusalem Donkeys & Kathidin Sheep are evident in raising our healthy, happy livestock. We seek to provide local quality livestock while being conscious of our environmental surroundings.
